Wednesday, September 24th will be Picture Day at Parkwood. Lifetouch Studios will be on hand to capture a portrait of your child in their new school year.
The administration team will be hosting a Parent Night Café on Wednesday, September 24th,. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know other parents at Parkwood as well as find out how you can be involved in our school life. The evening's events will be as follows:6:30-7:15 Home and School Information/Elections 7:00-7:30 Question and Answer Session with Admin for new parents 7:30-8:00 Parent School Support Team (PSSC) Information and Elections We are looking forward to a relaxed and enjoyable evening with parents over hot beverages and cakes and sweets! We had a great turn-out for our Parent Information Evening - Open House BBQ last evening. it was great to see so many of our students and their families. Thank you for the Home and School for hosting the BBQ and to Science East for providing and entertaining and explorative evening for our students in the gym. We look forward to seeing you at our next event - our Parent's Night Café being held on Monday, September 22nd. More information will follow soon.
We are looking forward to seeing all of our Parkwood families tomorrow evening, Thursday, September 11th, for our Parent Information Evening and Open House BBQ. The evening's events will be as follows:
5:30-6:00 Parents meet with child's homeroom teacher. Teachers will distribute BBQ tickets to parents following meeting.
5:30-6:00 Students and siblings attend the Science East Interactive Exhibits in the gym. (See pictures in Image Gallery)
6:00-6:30 Hots n' Hams BBQ sponsored by Home and School - in cafeteria.

The grade 5 Intensive French class has raised over $100 since January for the
local SPCA. Food, toys and treats have been purchased and brought to the SPCA
last Friday. They will continue to raise money until the end of June. Thank you to
all students and families who have participated in this fundraiser.

This week has been School Wide Enrichment Week at Parkwood Heights Elementary School and students have been involved in a variety of unique, interest-based activities. Thanks to a creative staff, and numerous community participants, students received 450 minutes of instruction and learning in their chosen interest. Sessions offered in this block included: All Creatures Great and Small; Kids Can Cook; Lots of Boxes; Musical Theatre and Dance; Sculptures; International Games; Outdoor Adventures; and Science.
