Enjoy a little peek at our first week of school!

It has been an amazing month of June!  We have done so much in a short amount of time.  We have reached our listening goals.  We tie-dyed t-shirts, went on an awesome field trip (where everyone complimented on how polite and well behaved we were!), we learned about why bubbles have colours, had a paper airplane contest to investigate measurement and length.  We also read a great book called "The Thing Lou Couldn't Do" and learned about the importance of failure and how every fail is just an opportunity to learn something new and get closer to reaching our goals.  The students amazed me at how well they understand this and aren't scared to take risks.  I am so going to miss this incredible group of kids next year, what a treat this year has been! Have a safe and wonderful summer!

This month has been soooooo busy!  We have had a very successful writer's celebration, our last visit with our Roots of Empathy baby, baby Nathan, planted bean seeds, tracked, measured and recorded their growth, learned about root systems, repotted our plants, practiced our sight words, read read read, wrote wrote wrote, counted counted and counted some more.  We have learned to add and subtract to 18, enjoyed a little bit of sunshine (when we actually get some) and raised all the money we needed for our year end field trip.  It's be a very successful month of May!
